"Bildy" comes from the Arab word beldi, meaning "local" and
"to build a community"
Marché Bildy Markt was first installed as a monthly market in March 2022. It began as a collaboration among artistic coordinator Einat Tuchman,
artistic assistant Juan Cizmar, project dramaturgist Esther Severi,
and artists Gosie Vervloessem, Martha Balthazar, and Azahara Ubera.
As a hub for thoughtfully curated homemade products, it aims to empower local artisans and residents alike by strengthening community ties and promoting mindful and sustainable shopping.
Each market is a unique installation by different artists and organizations
