ESPACETOUS

Espacetous projet started in 2016 in collaboration between Einat Tuchman and Maison de Quartier Liberators in Quartier Maritim - Molenbeek.

The aim of Espacetous if to invite inhabitants from different backgrounds and cultures into a reflective imaginative space of exchange

We explore how can the “art value” and art performance relate to the daily struggles and hopes of people belonging to the same public spaces. We propose to create new social rituals between multicultural differences and provoke other discourse about democracy and social cohesion and equality.

The Beginning

Talents and needs – In the beginning Einat Tuchman collaborated with the artist Ario Aklhadi. We build a bar- bike and during one summer we placed it on the local square every Saturday. We gave coffee and tea and collected Needs and a skills from people. Through that research we got to know the local dynamics, the resources and the lacks. We then used the Maison De Quartier Liberateurs to create events where people exchanged knowledge between one another. There was always a food workshop and in the end we all shared a small diner together.
